Boże Ciało w Polsce 2012- Corpus Christi in Poland

The tiny town (1,047 people) where I live celebrated Corpus Christi today. I think, if you look at some of the pictures, you will agree that nearly everyone was there.

The pictures speak for themselves. Poland is, after all, a Catholic country.

Magical - who is the priest in the photo at the end?

john-of-hayling - the photo is of Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko, murdered by communist security police in 1984 in Włocławek.

I envy you the lack of heat-this looks so like Spain , only different.
Toledo has Corpus on Thursday- we have it this Sunday. More bishops now are whole men, but when this was handed to the regions some 30odd years it is hard not to feel the same, less importantly, but not all that much as with abortion etc: surrender anything rather than get a bad press and invites to wine wi the nobs. Anyhow, Corpus Christi we do have, and its penitential for a northernerborn, and I will miss it the year my legs go.
Its evangelizing BTW- people do say WTF is that all about?
