Did you write St Nicolas aka "Father christmas" a letter every year as a child?

The Epiphany, aka 3 wise men /kings, is properly this Wednesday. Ever-moresecular Spain yet retains it,altho cluster bombed with plastic commercial Santas with no local tradition behind them, and my kids are still writing the three kings their letters.The three kings will leave presis overnight 5th to 6th.More presis happen around many masses on the 6th in many parishes. Very secular, from the sublime to the gorblimey, every town has a long Three kings procession thru the main streets on the eve. Traditionally , NO gifts come directly from anyone,so no thanklyou letters, ( the usual supects are often believed to be intermediaries somehow.)
They are writing , and so am I.
As an adult,the main difference is they have all 2016 to come through with whatever it is, through whatever material intermediaries.They are saints after all, you know, intercession and all that.
They seem to specialize mostly in material blessings, but you can ask.I mean put down what you want.
Just ask for what you want.For you yourself, and yours, maybe.
There's a lot to be said for writing down a few things you can write to these chaps. The lord put signs a whole class of learned gents could follow, they´'re the three that turned up - you really have NOTHING to say to them ,ask them , three fellow men in the communion of saints?
Post it in the normal way, even if the address isn't exactly normal. Not as a superstition, but because you re you and you post written letters.
Like indulgences and similar, this sort of thing used to thrill/scandalize enlightened Brit prods.
