Inspiring post by Father Sean Coyle

Father Sean Coyle has an inspiring (a word I am not addicted to, but justified here) post in which, starting from John 12 20-33, he moves on to the lives of Fr Patrick Sheehy, who died in 1999 and the Venerable Matt Talbot who died in 1925, and whose heroic story can be read here.

A young Spanish Priest told me, "People think that we are here to realise ourselves. We are not. We are here to empty and lose ourselves."

I thank God for my meeting with that wise young man, half my age.
