I have just read a foul comment, anonymous of course, endured by a fellow blogger.
Is there any way, internet-wise, of punching someone's lights out? Legally, of course.
Just asking.
Hatred Explained

So, what is emerging one week after Charlie Kirk’s brutal assassination?
The assassin was the “boyfriend” of a male who fancies himself a woman.

I get a lot of those,..but in my private email,..
The unfriendly comment that I received this morning was posted at a very early hour. It unnerved me that someone would rise before I awoke and leave their unfriendly thoughts for me to find. It's happened a couple of times now. I must give them insomnia? And there was me snoring away unaware until at least seven am! Monday mornings eh?
Marco - so how do you dissipate your rage? The gym, I guess. I play "Brian Boru's March" on the fiddle, full of Celtic wrath and cold steel. I suppose one should offer it up.
Shadowlands - Yes, I was thinking of you when I wrote it. You are much nicer than me. I would have deleted it.
Perhaps the culprit lives in a different time zone, and was just feeling more than usually wormishly stupid. I'm sure he or she will give up if you always delete.
I might have deleted too, if I had been in a different mood. But if it's what they think of me, so be it. I would certainly delete insults against others mind you, I'm not a platform for broad based rage(unless it's my own)!
Thankyou for acknowledging me though.

I focus on the Liturgiae Causa blog and think "what can I do to cause this young man as much pain as possible?" and then feel slightly guilty and rephrase it as "what can I do to make sure that such foul slime should not be available to anybody with brain cells which work?"
So far all I can think of would work but would be illegal - the Computer Misuse Act prohibits online grievous computerly harm as much as does its jurisprudentially equivalent with regard to grievous bodily harm.
But I'm working on it, and just working on it is satisfyingly fun.
I have deleted the whole post, I meant to save it as a draft. Probably for the best.
Mairtin - I certainly was not suggesting anything criminal, simply sounding off. I think we perhaps understand each other's rage
I've taken a quick look at the blog you mention, and it really does seem to be a pit of spite, but so obnoxious that I can't imagine anyone's soul being endangered by it, apart, perhaps, from the author's.
shadowlands - that's a pity. In your place, I would have deleted the comment, told him (I guess he was a man) that he was a swine and a boor, and gone on my way rejoicing.
That's not advice, mind :)
Actually I have saved it, after all, I think? I'm clearing up my blog so I've saved all the posts as drafts for a while.
I am not exactly technical though.....
