Glossolalia, or "speaking with tongues": an afterthought.

Today, after many dire visions of the future of the Church if we do not reap the full harvest of The Fruits of Vatican II, I prophesied as follows:

An unpleasantly cynical acquaintance, a real spoilsport, offered to interpret the prophecy above, and produced this 'interpretation' :

according to some who have studied the phenomenon of glossolalia ( W. J. Samarin, Felicitas Goodman) , the syllables used are all found in the native language of the speakers.....

Which is not what I meant at all!
