As a very happy footnote to my last post, my regretful and regrettable bid for retirement has failed, and I shall be working - jak Pan Bóg da - God willing - another year at the Liceum.

No ageism here in Poland - I've a friend aged 82 with a pacemaker who still goes hunting for wild boar and deer - for 2 days at a time, camping at night.
Another aged 75 learned to fly 2 years ago, and is still a full-time obstetrician.
They say - Polak potrafi = a Pole can do it.
